EnglishSan Raffaele
Gli articoli religiosi di San Raffaele Arcangelo accompagnano la preghiera e le intenzioni affidate alla sua intercessione, in particolare durante un viaggio o una tappa importante. Una medaglia di un santo può essere portata con sé come segno personale di devozione.
Entrusting a journey to Saint Raphael's intercession
Before setting out on a journey, prayer to Saint Raphael the Archangel can accompany both the traveller and those thinking of them. An intention may simply entrust the journey, future encounters and the return home to God through the Archangel's intercession. A medal worn on a chain can keep this intention present throughout the journey.
Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, the three Archangels in Catholic tradition
Raphael is traditionally presented alongside Michael and Gabriel among the three Archangels named in Catholic tradition. Each nevertheless has a distinct story and mission. Our article on Michael, Gabriel and Raphael and how to invoke them explores their respective places in Christian spirituality.
Their shared celebration is also explored in our article on the Feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, including the meaning traditionally associated with each Archangel.
A representation of Saint Raphael in a prayer space
A statue or devotional image of Saint Raphael can be placed in a prayer space alongside a Bible, rosary or candle. Statues of saints and angels also make it possible to place his representation alongside other figures from Catholic tradition.
