Statue of Our Lady of Lourdes
The Palais du Rosaire, a Lourdes family business founded in 1914, offers its selection of Our Lady of Lourdes statues, in resin as well as metal and in several sizes. These statues represent the Virgin as she appeared to Saint Bernadette at the Grotto of Massabielle, dressed in white, a rose on each foot and a rosary on her arm. They accompany prayer, at home as much as in a garden or a prayer corner.
The apparitions of Our Lady of Lourdes
The statue of Our Lady of Lourdes reproduces the Virgin as she showed herself to Bernadette Soubirous in 1858, during eighteen apparitions at the Grotto of Massabielle. On 25 March, she named herself: "I am the Immaculate Conception." It is this apparition that fixed the world-famous image of Our Lady of Lourdes. To relive these events, discover all the apparitions of the Virgin in Lourdes. This devotion is inseparable from Saint Bernadette, to whom the Virgin appeared.
The novena to Our Lady of Lourdes
The novena to Our Lady of Lourdes is a prayer carried on over nine days, through which an intention is entrusted to the Virgin, often for a sick loved one or a trial. It carries on the prayer of the pilgrims who go to the Grotto, and can be said anywhere, before a statue or a picture.
The feast of Our Lady of Lourdes
The feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is celebrated each year on 11 February, the day of the first apparition, also the World Day of the Sick. Many accompany their devotion with the Lourdes rosary. To learn more, discover the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
