Small candles to accompany prayer

Thanks to their compact size, these three candles can be placed in a prayer corner or beside a religious object. They can accompany a personal intention, family prayer or simply a quiet moment of reflection.

In Christian tradition, lighting a candle is a symbolic gesture associated with prayer. Its flame recalls Christ, the light of the world, while the illustration on these candles more specifically associates them with devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes.

A depiction of Our Lady of Lourdes

In 1858, the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette Soubirous at the Grotto of Massabielle. These Apparitions gave rise to devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes and helped make Lourdes one of the major places of Marian pilgrimage.

These candles can naturally be placed beside a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes to create a space dedicated to Marian prayer.
