Padre Pio, an important figure in Catholic spirituality

Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, an Italian Capuchin priest, devoted much of his life to prayer, the celebration of the Eucharist and the sacrament of Reconciliation. Canonised in 2002 by Pope John Paul II, he remains an important figure of Catholic devotion today.
