The Segond 1910 is the revision of the translation Louis Segond made in the late nineteenth century from the Hebrew and Greek. It is noted for its fidelity to the originals and for the quality of its French.

For over a century it has been printed in millions of copies across the French-speaking world, and it remains the standard version for French-speaking Protestants and evangelicals. Many readers choose it for its prose as much as its accuracy — it shaped religious French much as the King James shaped English.
