Lourdes oven glove and pot holder set

A kitchen set from Lourdes featuring an oven glove and pot holder with Marian motifs

Comprising an oven glove and a pot holder, this set combines practicality with a nod to the shrine at Lourdes. Its illustrations depicting the Virgin Mary and the Basilica serve as a reminder of this major Catholic pilgrimage site, closely linked to the apparitions of 1858 to Saint Bernadette Soubirous. Placed in the kitchen, these accessories allow Lourdes to maintain a discreet presence at the heart of everyday life.

Lourdes oven glove and pot holder to protect your hands from heat in the kitchen

The oven glove and pot holder are designed to make it easier to handle hot pans and dishes whilst preparing meals. The Lourdes oven glove fits snugly over the hand, whilst the oven glove provides additional protection when handling a hot dish, handle or utensil. Their religious design sets this set apart from ordinary kitchen accessories and also makes it a evocative souvenir of a pilgrimage to the Marian town.

Give a useful souvenir from Lourdes featuring the Virgin Mary and the Basilica

This Marian kitchen set makes a lovely gift for someone with a connection to Lourdes, Our Lady or the memory of a pilgrimage. The figure of the Virgin Mary recalls the message conveyed to Saint Bernadette, characterised by prayer, conversion and trust in God. Without turning the object into an article of liturgical devotion, its Christian imagery allows this religious souvenir to be incorporated into everyday use. A suitable choice for combining a souvenir from Lourdes with daily life and a connection to the Catholic tradition.
