Who is Saint Thérèse of Lisieux?

Her Story

Saint Therese of Lisieux is considered one of the most popular and beloved saints of the Catholic Church. She was born in France in 1873 and entered the Carmelite convent in Lisieux at the age of 15. Therese wrote her memoirs entitled "Story of a Soul" which were published after her death and quickly gained popularity. She is known for her teaching on the "little way" of spirituality, which encourages people to find happiness in the little things of everyday life and to surrender themselves totally to the love of God. Saint Theresa was canonised in 1925 and is considered a role model for girls and women.

St Therese of Lisieux was known for her devotion to the mission of divine mercy and for her promise to spread roses of divine love over the world. For many Catholics, Saint Therese is a model of humility, trust in God and devotion.
