Reopening of the Rosary Palace

The new season, which was supposed to start in April 2020 in Lourdes, unfortunately could not start because of COVID-19. We are waiting and hoping that it will take place this year. As the period of confinement started at the same time as the season, locals, pilgrims and holidaymakers were not able to enjoy our beautiful city of Lourdes.

After more than 4 months of closure due to COVID-19, the Palais du Rosaire opens its doors this weekend to welcome its customers.

Despite the fact that all the stores were open from May 11th in many cities in France, the religious stores in Lourdes have chosen to keep their religious shops closed.

But why did we stay closed?

Quite simply because the streets of Lourdes were deserted and the religious shops could not open. Moreover, even though the 100 km rule is over and everyone can once again move freely, the great pilgrimages to Lourdes are cancelled until September. In the end, the beginning of June was the same as the month of May, with empty streets and closed religious shops. However, since the week of June 15, a few restaurants have been open and are starting to welcome new people on their terraces. The city of Lourdes is slowly starting to come alive.

This Friday 26th to Sunday 28th June, Le Palais du Rosaire, 64 Boulevard de La Grotte is pleased to announce the opening of its doors. We are expecting you from 10am - 1pm / 2pm - 6pm. In addition, it will open new ones, this time for good, during the summer holidays and this, from the beginning of July.

Security measures at the Palais du Rosaire

Sanitary measures will be taken for the safety of our customers. They will of course be the same as in any religious shop. Wearing the mask will of course be recommended in our religious shop and in case you do not have one, Le Palais du Rosaire offers for sale antibacterial fabric masks with the effigy of Lourdes guaranteed 50 washes and of which 1€ will be donated to the Sanctuaries of Lourdes.

The team of the Palais du Rosaire is looking forward to the arrival of the season, pilgrims and holidaymakers to discover Lourdes and for these superb architectures and its Sanctuary. We also look forward to meeting our customers in our religious shops.

Indeed, the store had undergone major work to make it more modern. They are now finished and our team, with a smile on their face, have started to work on the layout of the religious store and its shelving. Little by little, the cult objects of the Rosary Palace are taking their place again.
